Couch Center presentations and events have regularly been held at meetings or conventions of the following organizations:

Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC)
(www.aejmc.org/) is a nonprofit, educational association of journalism and mass communication educators, students and media professionals. Annual meetings are generally held in August.

Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR)
(aoir.org/) is the top international association for students and scholars in any discipline in the field of of Internet studies. Annual meetings are generally held in October.
Particularly noteworthy are the AoIR research ethics guidelines, Ethical decision-making and Internet research (www.aoir.org/reports/ethics.pdf).

Midwest Sociological Society (MSS)
(www.themss.org/) a membership organization of academic and applied sociologists as well as students of the discipline. Annual meetings are generally held in late March or early April.

National Communication Association (NCA)
(www.natcom.org/) is the largest national organization dedicated to communication. Annual meetings are generally held in November.

Society for the Study of Symbolic Interation (SSSI)
(www.symbolicinteraction.org/) an international professional organization of scholars interested in the study of a wide range of social issues with an emphasis on identity, everyday practice, and language. Annual meetings are generally held in August.
